dr pepper college football

Brought to you by Dr Pepper® and Albertsons Companies.

Hey Fashionistas,

As you already know, I am a girl who loves sports. Growing up in Germany made me love soccer and hockey, and when I moved to the U.S., about 4 years ago, I fell in love with baseball and football. A big reason I am such a big football fan is because of my husband. He is a huge football fan, and since it is very entertaining I got sucked right into it.

With summer coming to an end I am swapping my bikini for a football jersey. Having a 9 - 5 job allows me to completely relax on Saturdays to watch college football. What I love most about football is the idea of homegating. I love having friends over for a watch party where everyone brings snacks and drinks. I usually call dibs on providing the Dr Pepper® and homemade French Dip Sandwiches. Who doesn't love this combination!

The day before the game I shop at my local Albertsons to get all the ingredients for my French Dip Sandwiches and, of course, my Dr Pepper. Since I'm preparing my French Dip Sandwiches in a slow cooker I like to do it the day before the game so I don't miss the party. All you need for these sandwiches are the following ingredients:

French Dip Sandwiches
1 - 2 cans of Onion Soup (I like to use 2 cans of onion soup this way there will be a lot of dipping sauce!)
½ of a fresh cut onion
2 lbs Chuck Roast
Slow Cooker
2 French Baguettes
Sliced Provolone Cheese

This recipe is basically foolproof. You put the roast in the slow cooker, add the onion soup and some fresh cut onions and let it cook for at least five hours on the lowest temperature. When everything is done and the meat is falling apart - because it is so tender - you take it out and put it on your toasted bread, (French baguettes work great) bake it with some provolone cheese, and add the onion sauce to it.  Also don't forget the sauce on the side so you can dip your sandwich. I like to create little sliders so it's easier to eat and everyone can enjoy!

Of course, no party is complete without Dr Pepper. I like to throw the cans in a big bucket of ice so they get ice cold and they are easy to access.

Also, don’t miss this amazing offer!
