Today I want to share my Lip Ink review with you. I was recently gifted to 2 lip stains from Lip Ink. I choose a coral (that seems to be a bit more pink on my lip) and a nude.
The package included Lip off remover, lip ink and the lip shine. At first, I was quite overwhelmed with all the products and not sure how to use them. If you are in a hurry don’t bother to use this lip stain it takes some preparation.
Before you apply the color you have to put the lip off remover on your lip. I feel that the label is a bit misleading but prepping your lips this way allows the product to come off more easy and it also works as a moisturizer. Follow up with the color. Be careful the color is super watery and runny. I accidentally tilted the bottle and the color ran into my blanket. Wonderful, that stuff is hard to wash off.
Once I applied the color to my lips I felt a burning sensation. It was quite uncomfortable. The product also smells a lot like herbs and oils because of its botanical formula. All products are natural, organic, vegan, kosher, gluten-free, wax free, GMO and cruelty-free (wow that is a lot!).
For a high pigmented lip you need to apply three layers of the color. I let it dry for a few seconds and the final step is to apply the lip shine. The lip shine gives your lips a glossy, healthy finish.
What I like about the lip stain is that is last all day. It is a 100% smear and waterproof. I know a lot of lip products claim to be 100% transfer proof but this lip stain is no joke. There is no way you will get it off my using a tissue or water. In order to remove it, I used the Lip off remover and even after 10 minutes of rubbing my lips (yes it is painful) I still had leftover residue.
