build your own makeup palette

Hey  Fashionistas,

For some reason, I am really feeling fall this year. I already took off my full decoration, I can finally turn on my little twinkle lights because it gets dark pretty early. I also ended up buying a beautiful salt lamp. Every night we turn on the light and it just gives the room a cozy vibe.

Fall for me also means wearing dark lipsticks. During summer I like to wear light colors such as corals, reds, or glosses. Whereas during fall I prefer matte lipsticks, liquid matte lipsticks, in darker shades. Same goes for my eye makeup, during summer I usually wear just an eyeliner or light colors and mascara. Whereas in fall and winter I prefer burgundy, berry and red shades.

I recently tried the Finding Ferdinand overnight palette. What I love about this palette is that you can choose your own shades. You can choose from shimmer, matte and metallic shades. You can choose six eyeshadows, one bronzer, one blush and one highlight.

I decided to go with a coral blush, a medium shade bronzer, and a golden highlighter. Let me tell you the Highlight is amazing!  I would say by the pallet just for the highlighter. If you love an intensive glow or - like my husband likes to call it a robotic Glow - then this is your highlighter.

I kept the eyeshadows in the burgundy, red shade range with a neutral color so I can blend my eye makeup and a pinkish metallic shade for highlighting the eye.The shades are nicely pigmented and very blendable.

I think that this palette is a cute idea for your friends or for someone who's makeup obsessed and just wants to create its own palette. The palette retails for $60 and again the highlighter itself it's already worth the money.  Since you're the creator of the pallet you can choose shades that you can wear during the day or at night. On the bottom of the palette, it even says your name because you’ve created this palette! What I also love about this brand is that they do not use harmful ingredients like parabens, mineral oil, talc, petroleum etc.

On my lips, I’m wearing Julep matte lip mousse in shade kiss me. I was gifted with a few items because I was invited to a dinner party last week at the Line Hotel in Los Angeles. At this Julep dinner event, they launched their new cushion complexion which I will be reviewing on my blog in the next few days.

Thanks for stopping by!
