How to style an Army Shirt

October flew by. I can’t believe we are almost in November, which not only means that I am having my wedding anniversary but also my favorite holiday Thanksgiving is coming (don’t forget all the great sales!).

It is also feeling more like fall in Southern California with temperatures in the mid 70 (yes that is cold for me) so I put together an outfit that can be worn in colder and warmer weather.

I know that there are a lot of army jackets out there but this one is different because it has a thicker material and it will give you the rough look that your outfit deserves. In order to keep your outfit feminine but edgy I like to pair my army shirt with a leather skirt. Over knee socks and rough boots complete this look.

What I think is important to keep in mind when creating edgy, rocker outfits is to think about accessories.  In my case, I paired a sparkling necklace from Marlyn Schiff to my outfit. This necklace is a statement but at the same time it’s also delicate. Try to find the balance between delicate and rough pieces in your look.
