Hey Fashionistas,
Vacation called and I answered. Panama City here we come! My husband and myself will be escaping into the jungle of Panama City in just a few days. I booked this vacation back in May and I am so excited that it’s finally here!
Today’s blog post is about how to be comfortable when sitting on a long-distance flight and how to keep your skin alive. The flight to Panama is not that long only 7 hours but in September we are leaving for Germany to visit my family and the flight time is about 18 hours.
What to wear on an airplane?
I recommend wearing yoga pants. You want to be comfortable while sitting for hours in a space that is actually way too tight (assuming you are sitting in the economy class). In my case, I am wearing Adidas yoga pants and my banana crop top with the matching sweater jacket.
Even though your destination might be warm and sunny in an airplane cabin it is always cold so be sure to take a sweater with you. I recommend wearing sneakers on a plane because they are comfortable and stylish. I decided to wear my Adidas superstar sneakers.
Headphones and a cap are In-flight essentials for me. I am wearing headphones from Ankit, super stylish and they have an amazing sound. What I love most about these headphones is that they fit perfectly to my outfit. I always put my favorite songs on my IPhone so I don’t get bored during the flight. My pineapple phone case from Ankit does not only scream tropical vacation it also protects my phone. Last but not least I am wearing a black cap to finish my look.
How to keep your skin glowing?
1. Water
Water is the number one in-flight essential because the air in an airplane cabin is very dry and has little moisture. That is also the reason why your skin feels dehydrated and gets dry and flaky. It is recommend to drink at least a liter of water for every six hours you fly.
2. Facial Mist
I can’t live without facial mists anymore. I discovered facial mists last year and I absolutely love them. You should definitely pack a rose water infused facial mist in your carry on bag. My favorite facial mist is by Mario Badescu. It smells like herbs and rosewater and it keeps my skin hydrated. Make sure your face mist does not contain alcohol since alcohol dries out your skin. Keep misting on every hour to stay hydrated.
3. Moisturizer
During a long distance flight your face lotion, your eye cream and your lip balm are becoming your best friends.
4. SPF
Flying in high altitudes means you are closer to harmful UV rays especially when you are sitting on the window. You should apply sunscreen with an SPF of 30+ to protect your skin.
I hope my tips help you for your next vacation. Let me know in the comments below if you are going to fly anywhere this year.
Thanks for stopping by!
