Halloween Inspired Look

This outfit is for everyone who wants to start getting into the Halloween spirit without looking costume. It could also be an inspiration for everyone who dose not know what to wear on the 31th and don’t feel like going to a store for a costume.

I love to be bold and use bold colors in this time of fall. This to me means wearing darker lipstick, darker clothing and keeping the femininity by contrasting hard and soft.

I’m wearing a grey jersey dress with tulle, which represents the soft part of my outfit. This dress is tight in the top but because of the tulle it hides the hip area which is perfect for every body shape. Tulle dresses and skirts are usually give out a girly and cute vibe but this is not really what we want to achieve with this look. The trick here is to mix and match soft and hard.

To keep the outfit edgy and to add the perfect Halloween touch I choose to wear a leather jacket. The black leather jacket is the hard aspect in this outfit which reduces the girly vibe of the dress. This leather jacket has great details on the front and on the shoulders. What I love most about this jacket is that it is tailored and the zipper ends in the middle of the jacket which makes it more interesting looking compared to most jackets. A leather jacket is the perfect companion for fall because the material is robust to protect you against rain and wind while looking stylish. I’m pretty sure everyone has a leather or pleather jacket hanging somewhere in there closet if not now is the time to buy one.

I’m wearing my favorite ankle boots. These ankle boots look polished and edgy. You can also wear wedge boots or flat boots but I recommend boots to this outfit in order to keep it dark and creepy to keep with the Halloween spirit. The boots are also transforming the dress so you will look like a dark princess that rises from the shadows rather than a happy flower-picking doll.

October stands not only for Halloween but for wind and rain so do yourself a favor and style your hair undone and messy.

The outfit looks polished, edgy and chic. So start paring your tulle dress or skirt with a pair of boots and rough leather jacket, paint your fingernails black and choose a dark color lipstick, I prefer the color perfect plum from Maybelline. And your pre-Halloween outfit is ready.

Holding On To Summer

It might be fall but it really does not feel like it so why not wearing shorts and crop tops. To make this outfit go from simple to stunning I paired my simple crop top and shorts with this amazing new suede burgundy poncho. This poncho is a must have for fall. This poncho is a perfect addition to any outfit and available in different colors. What I really like about this asymmetric fringe cape are the cuts. The cuts not only make a beautiful pattern they also give the cape a nice airy touch. I wore this outfit on a hot Friday afternoon. I picked up my husband from work and we decided to go to a casual restaurant with an outdoor patio. I wanted to wear something that keeps me cool in the heat but since I rather not show much skin I had to add this poncho. This cape also works because you can use it in the day and it can help you stay warm at night.

I paired it with ripped shorts and a white crop top. The cape added a beautiful flair and texture to my outfit and fringes are really in right now. I love the way the fringes move when I walk. It is so much fun wearing this cape and an absolute must have in every closet. 

Fringe on top and fringe on the bottom. That’s my motto for this look so I decided to wear my fringe heels. The color and the shape of the heels are casual and easy to pair with other colors but still these shoes are an eye-catcher and they give every outfit a Native American touch.

I kept my accessories simple because the star of the outfit is the fringe cape. The outfit has a touch of country and hippie so feather earrings are perfect. I only choose one earring because I think it creates a nice balance within this look.

A City Girl And Her Jumpsuit

Jumpsuits have been huge this summer but they can be tricky. Here is how you can style your jumpsuit so you will look like a fashionista.

I recently bought this blue scallop romper. I love everything about this jumpsuit. It looks classy and elegant but you can also style it with a pair of sneakers to give it that sporty vibe.  

What I like most about jumpsuits is that it’s a one-piece ensemble so there is no need to struggle with a top or a bottom piece to an outfit. The only real issue I have with a romper is getting out of it when I go to the restroom but we cant forget no pain no gain.

I like to mix and match colors and patterns to make my outfit look more fun and solid colors are the perfect base to go with patterns. In my case I’m wearing my leopard heels because they make me feel like a bad ass in the city jungle.

To add a dash of color I grabbed my pink clutch. This clutch looks stylish and it has enough space for all my belongings.

The gold statement necklace makes this look complete. The necklace flows and shows great movement when I walk.

Jumpsuits are for everyone and in the end it is all about the styling. You can go all out and wear your heels and be the stunner when you enter the room or you can choose to be casual with a pair of sneakers and a ponytail. You also have to think about where do I wear this outfit to? I wear this look when I go to work or meet friends for a night out. It is all up to you. Don’t be afraid to mix colors and patterns an outfit doesn’t always have to match it just has to feel good.
