I can’t believe the year is almost over. Where did it go? Well, I guess I have been saying this phrase since I turned 22. But as older you get as faster the time runs. 

My New Year’s Eve outfit is a sparkling dress with a deep v-cut and nude heels. I throw my hair in an undone bun. Since it’s getting a bit colder at night I am going to pair a black leather jacket with this beautiful dress.

Trip to Guatemala and Honduras

Hi Guys,

I finally found the time to tell you about my Guatemala Trip! My past few days were so busy - in general, the time between Black Friday and New Year is always the busiest if you work at a company that sells stuff. Just a quick note about myself I work as a Marketing Manager for a beauty school and as you could imagine over the holidays it is always the busiest.

Like every year we are going away for Thanksgiving and this year we decided to go to Guatemala City. The destination wasn’t planned but we were looking for something that is not too far away and a something we haven't been before.

We arrived early on Thursday morning and from the airport, we went to our hotel. The hotel called Grand Tikal Futura And it's located next to the shopping mall. The hotel was super nice very fancy but it was very affordable. On our first day, we decided to visit the zoo. We are both suckers for animal and nature.

Our 5-Year Wedding Anniversary

Today I am going to be more personal on my blog. I just celebrated my 5-year wedding anniversary…

...and I want to tell you how I got there.

Born and raised in Germany - I did a semester abroad in Los Angeles in a marketing agency. I stayed in LA for about 6 months. When I first got here I didn’t know anyone but during my stay, I met Eric - my husband. A month later I moved in with him. After 6 months my internship ended and I had to go back to Germany to finish college.

First Pumpkin Patch

Hey guys,

This is the first time I went on a pumpkin patch and it was quite fun. We went to the one in Pomona. 

On that day we also went kayaking in Huntington Beach. We bought a Groupon for a 2-hour kayaking ride way back in summer but as always we wait until the last second to redeem it. But I guess that’s one of the advantages of living in so-cal it’s always warm. 

Today is Halloween but we don’t celebrate instead we are going to cook dinner and maybe prepare some sangria because tomorrow is our 5 year wedding anniversary. Five years just flew by...it’s insane.

I also can’t believe there are only two more months left in 2018. 

I love this outfit because it’s so simple yet stylish. Graphic tees are always my number one choice when it comes to tees. They make your outfit look more effortless while adding more dimension. 

I just recently got this windbreaker jacket from a brand collab. Windbreaker jackets are perfect for days that tend to be a little bit chillier at night.

They are so delicate anytime I’m wearing flats the back of my foot gets messed up. Well, actually this also happened when I wear heels or sneakers. Basically with any shoes especially when they are new. So who can relate?

How to style a silk dress

Hey Fashionistas,

Happy 1st of October. In exactly one month we are celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary. I’m pumped! I always get super excited - so I started counting the days.

I’m pretty sure October will fly by just like September did. Honestly where the heck did summer go? I feel like it did not spend enough time at the beach or working on my tan.

Even though summer is my favorite season and I am total sun lover or how the urban dictionary would say: heliophile.

Regardless, I am so looking forward to November not only are we celebrating our wood anniversary but we are also going on vacation! I think we are seriously addicted to traveling the world but I guess who isn’t? I always joke with my husband and tell him that seeing new places and having the desperate urge to go somewhere far is in my nature. Since I remember my parents always took me on vacation. I guess growing up in Germany makes traveling easier because it does not take long to be somewhere completely different.  

For now, we are flying to Guatemala over Thanksgiving… but until then...I am doing my everyday work.

This past weekend it was surprisingly warm. Almost like summer came back for one more weekend before the rain is approaching us. At least that's what the weather forecast says. Truth to be told I wouldn't mind the rain - once in a while - it’s actually pretty soothing laying in bed and listening to the raindrops knocking on your window.

On another note my black dress is not only for summer days it's for every day. This sophisticated black silk dress can be easily worn with tights during the colder months or by itself. There are always those pieces in your closet that are just stable pieces. A black dress is one of them. This one has a pretty loose fit and comes with a belt. I can easily be dressed up with a pair of heels or dress down with a pair of flats.I paired this dress with my black and white coat from Zara. I guess I am ready for you, Fall.

Moorten Botanical Garden Review

Hey Fashionistas,

This post was supposed to come online way earlier but life has been crazy lately! I quit my job a few days ago to accept a better opportunity. I attended a marketing convention in Las Vegas and as soon as I get back to Los Angeles *today* I have to hop onto another plane due to a family emergency in Mexico. Eric and myself were supposed to go to Lake Tahoe but we had to cancel our entire trip. Book flights to Mexico and a rental car. I hope to catch some sleep on the plane.

It’s pretty hectic at this moment. Next weekend we’ll be heading to Peru to discover Machu Picchu and other ruins. This entire month I haven’t been home on the weekends and I feel like I am traveling from one place to another. Hence August flew by in no time. Looking forward to some slow days where we can just relax at the beach.

Amazon Rainforest in 3 Days

Hey Fashionistas,

We just got back from Peru. It was my husband’s dream to visit the Amazon Rainforest so we finally did it - no convincing needed on his end. Did I ever imagine hiking the jungle and canoeing on the Amazon river? No, but I am glad I did it.

We booked a three-day jungle adventure. We flew from LA to Lima to Iquitos. We arrived early in the morning took a taxi (totally got screwed over by the taxi driver) to the meeting point. At the meeting point, we met our guide. Our guide, Nestor, who grew up in the jungle was so knowledgeable. He knew every bird, every noise, every flower and berry in the forest.
