Hey Fashionistas,

I was on my way to a birthday party dinner with friends. We went to a restaurant at La Placita Olvera. Olvera street is in the oldest part of Downtown LA and quite a tourist attraction. You’ll find authentic Mexican craft shops and restaurants. We ended up eating at Casa La Golondrina Mexican Café and for desert we went to my favorite Churro place called Mr. Churro.

For this occasion I chose a white blouse with wide almost batman styled arms. It was really warm that day so I wanted to wear something that covered my shoulders but still felt fresh and comfortable.

I chose a crop top because it matches well with any high waist skirt or pants unless you desire to show off a little bit of your stomach which is not needed in such events. I paired the crop top with a black leather skirt. I wanted to feel casual but still be fashionable and beautiful.

Wedges are my “go-to” shoes when I want to wear something with a heel but I’m not sure if I’m sitting or standing at the party because heels can become uncomfortable over a long period of time of course it depends on the heel height and style. Wedges are the perfect solution for everyone who wants to wear heels but can’t walk on them or simply feel uncomfortable in them. Nowadays you’ll find wedges in every shape, color and form.

My accessories add the finishing touches to my style. I am wearing a statement necklace and a black clutch with a gold bow tie to give it a splash of who I am.

So ladies don’t be afraid of heels, there are always alternatives to those heels that make you feel like you are loosing sensation on your feet. In the end the most important thing is that you feel good because if you feel beautiful you will exert beauty.

See you soon,

Hey Fashion addicts,

The LA Arts District in downtown is one of my favorite places to go. It has so many things to offer like trendy galleries, boutiques and amazing graffiti art.
You would usually find me at the Wurstküche, a restaurant that sells exotic sausages, delicious fries and German beer. This place feels like home especially after taking the first sip of my Hefeweizen.

My next stop is The Pie Hole that is just across the street. The Pie Hole is a sleek bakery that serves homemade sweet and savory pies.

Besides that my husband and I love to go to the Daily Dose Café a hidden romantic restaurant that sells delicious sandwiches and fresh pressed juice.

Enough with the food talk it’s making me hungry. Let’s talk about my outfit. The graphic tee and ripped shorts make the outfit young and trendy. I recently found this tiger graphic tee and I immediately fell in love with it. Graphic tees will always give an amount of uniqueness to your outfits.

The pink sparkling boat shoes and statement necklace add the right amount of German Blondy to my outfit. I could never leave my house without something pink that illustrates who I am.

To add the finishing touches of glamour to my outfit I grab my rose colored bowling bag and sunglasses. So ladies don't forget to illustrate who you are with what you wear.

Taking that extra minute to develop your outfit can make a difference. Don’t be afraid to be yourself.

Spread the Love

Leather jacket with hat and heels

I was checking my Instagram account and redsolesandsequins commented on one of my pictures that I got nominated for the Liebster Award.

The word ‘Liebster’ rang a bell since it’s a German word and I’m German. The word has several definitions like beloved, lovely, dearest.

The award only exists online and is given to bloggers by other bloggers. The whole purpose behind the award is to help newcomers like me to spread their blog and get recognition. In my opinion it’s a really nice opportunity to get our blogs out to the blogger community.

Here is a little info on Red Soles and Sequins she has a lifestyle blog where she writes about traveling, fashion and her adventures. Her website has a good structure, looks professional and bold. Her blog is inspiring and I love her sense of fashion. I recommend stopping by her blog it’s worth your time.

Questions from Red Soles & Sequins

1. If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

I don’t really care too much about where I live as long as it’s a big city and the ocean is close by. It’s more important to have people around who love me and whom I love.

2. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I’m in love with cheese. So I would eat all kinds of cheese I guess.

3. Where do you go or what do you do to get creative inspiration?

I usually go to my husband to get inspired, he has a really creative mind and always comes up with awesome ideas what we can do for my blog. Besides that I like to look at other fashion blogger’s Instagram profiles or blogs to get inspired.

4. What motivated you to start blogging?

My undeniable passion for fashion. I love the way that clothes make you feel and I especially love the message they can send without speaking a word.

5. How did you come up with your blog name?

Actually my husband came up with the name. We where thinking about a name for my blog and I wanted something that is bold and still describes who I am. That is basically the story of how German Blondy was born.

6. If you had a year off, with pay, what would you do?

I would travel the world with my husband. I love visiting new places, seeing different cultures and trying their food.

7. What makes you laugh?

I’m German. It’s tough to make us laugh but I usually laugh at my own jokes, which are sort of mean.

8. All time favorite movie?

My all time favorite movie is the Notebook. I feel that I found a love like that.

9. What’s your go to inspirational quote?

My go to inspirational quote is: “If you think it’s to much, it’s just right”.

10. If you could give advice to your younger self what would it be?

I don’t regret anything that I did in my life. The only thing I would probably tell my younger self is drink less beer.

My 10 questions for you:

  1. If you were alone on a deserted island, what 3 items would you want to have with you?
  2. What is your favorite meal?
  3. f you could meet any famous person (alive or dead), who would it be?
  4. Cat or dog?
  5. Why did you start blogging?
  6. What inspires you to write?
  7. What was your favorite TV show as a kid?
  8. What is the most amazing thing you have ever done (besides starting your blog?)?
  9. What is the first thing that pops into your head when someone asks you to bring a dish to   a party?
  10. What book are you reading right now?

Necklace: Forever 21 || Dress: H&M || Jeans Vest: Ross || Shoes: Sam Edelman

Hey Fashion addicts,

This time I would love to display my cowgirl outfit. My husband and I recently traveled through the magical canyons of Utah. I thought this was the perfect opportunity to showcase my cowgirl heels. For your own safety don’t wear your heels for hiking its not as fun as it looks. A better idea is to take them out to a nice dinner at a local restaurant.

My outfit consists of a cream white so-called vokuhila dress that is longer in the back, shorter in the front. On top I wear a little jeans vest. Jeans no matter if it’s a vest, a jacket or pants will always add some cowgirl to your outfit when combined with the right items of course.

In my case I paired the vest with the dress and my cowgirl heels with fringes. I decided to wear a simple long gold necklace to give it a splash of German Blondy.

Those boots are definitely my statement piece and I want to encourage women to wear whatever fells right to them. Don’t listen to people that tell you that your cloths are too loud. I know it’s tough not to care about other people’s opinions but it’s your style and you should be able to buy and wear what makes you feel gorgeous.

So next time you see something you really like even if it’s a bit crazy don’t hesitate to buy it. You make fashion, fashion does not make you. If you walk with confidence people will respect what you wear. You should be able to dictate your life and your fashion. Don’t let anyone take that from you.

Scull shirt: H&M (old) || Jacket: Similiar jacket || Purse: Betsy Johnsons - similar purse || Rain boots: Dirty Laundry || Watch: Fossil || Necklace: Primark (Germany)

Hey Fashionistas,

The whole week has been cloudy and cold. So it was time to grab my jacket and my rain boots. I recently bought these cute flower rain boots and let me tell you that the time where rain boots were only worn by children or guys on a rainy day are over.

Nowadays rain boots are colorful and stylish and look amazing with jeans or tights so don’t be afraid to buy a vibrant pair of boots and let the boots be your center piece on a dark rainy day.

I’m wearing my flower boots with a pair of skinny black jeans and a black skull shirt. On top I wear my army styled jacket with leather arms. I chose darker colors because I want the focus to be on my shoes and I like that the darker colors gives the outfit the right amount of roughness.

Every outfit should have at least one item that describes your personality. You might ask yourself: how can a piece of cloths or an accessory illustrate who I am? Cloths are made for you to be able to express yourself and give people a taste of who you are.

Coco Chanel used to say: “Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the women.”

What people will remember about me is my use of pink. I usually wear at least one pink item with my outfits to add my own note. I love pink because for me it portrays my brightness and femininity. What is the piece that people will remember you by?

With this outfit I decided to go with my pink bow tie purse to give the outfit the right amount of color on a dark rainy day.

Remember if you think it’s too much for your outfit; it’s just the right amount.
