sephora highlighter review

Hey Fashionistas,

As you know highlighters are my life and you can’t have enough of them. I am always on the hunt for the most blinding highlighter out there. I tried high-end and drugstore products. In today’s spotlight: Sephora highlighters.

To be perfectly honest I am not the type of girl who enters a Sephora to buy their house brand. I usually shop other brands. I can’t tell you the exact reason why I am doing this because Sephora products are excellent. Well, at least the ones I have tired. A few month ago I tried their liquid lipsticks and I tell everyone those $15 liquid lipstick are amazing! Non drying, the colors are beautiful and the price is perfect.

So I was intrigued to try more. Sephora was so kind to send me some of their highlighters. I received the Illuminating pallette, Perfect Mist Nude Glow and Pro Dimensional highlighting Pallette. About a year ago I bought radiant luminizing drops in shade luminous pink myself.

For the past few days I am trying out the Illuminating Pallette. The palette comes with six shades ranging from warm to cool tones. The pigmentation is great and I don’t find it to be glittery. I think this palette works great for every skin tone and for $28 you really can’t beat the price.

The Perfect Mist Nude Glow is a very natural looking highlighter. It creates a dewy finish.  I found the application to be a bit difficult because the spray is quite strong and I think it is hard to control where you want your highlight. So I start spraying it on my hand and applying in with a brush or my fingers. If you like a wet look this product might be worth your money. It retails for $20.

Another palette I tried is the Pro Dimensional highlighting palette. First off the packaging is gorgeous! This palette gives you the opportunity to create a natural glow. In my opinion this palette is more suitable for you if you want to achieve a wet look or a glossy finish. This pallette only features cream highlighters whereas two of them are high-shine glaze top coats. The formula is very blendable. I received the palette in cool shades. I think for summer this palette is great if you want to create a beach look. I am not sure how suitable it is for the office. This palette retails for $42.

The last highlighter I have tried is the radiant luminizing drops in shade pink. The consistency is very liquidy and gives your face a dewy finish. If you want a blinding highlight I would recommend this product. In general I find that powder highlighters are stronger than liquid highlighters.

Thanks for stopping by!
